Serve a Meal at Northside Common Ministries

Every day of the year, generous volunteers from churches throughout the Pittsburgh area prepare, deliver, and serve evening meals for the shelter residents.  Hundreds of volunteers from over 60 area churches are involved in this important and much appreciated process.

“The main reason I prepare and serve the meal is that I enjoy knowing I am making a difference in the lives of the men who stay at the shelter.  They are always very appreciative.  A secondary reason is that by having my family help prepare the meal and serve the men at the shelter, they learn important life lessons as well.”

~ Michelle Mansfield, volunteer from Ridgewood Assembly of God

Volunteer at Northside Food Pantry

Since the pantry’s beginning, it has been staffed and run largely by volunteers in the neighborhood.  There are many different ways you can volunteer your time to help, such as: pantry volunteer, clean and prep volunteer, delivery truck volunteer, on-call volunteer and a one-time volunteer. Contact us at 412-323-1170 or volunteer@goodwillswpa.org
